While these files were originally supposed to add a way to display album & track info as well as cover art for specialized "CD Extra" players - I don't know of any software or hardware that actually supports the use of these files. Next - Nero's "CD Extra" function keeps the data session strictly to original Blue Book specs - which means it includes without option to delete it both "CDPLUS" and "PICTURES" folders, as well as the INFO.CDP, and SUB_INFO.US files inside the CDPLUS folder. Nero doesn't support the "Songwriter" CD Text field either - and the client I have for this particular job also wanted info to be included on this field (even though I really don't know any CD Text players that display this). It also was a pain to re-enter pause id's s previously set in my main app (SAWStudio) as well. Since CD Text & ISRC entry is fairly clumsy with Nero this would take some time. ![]() This method had multiple downsides to it for me though.įirst - I had to completely reassemble the audio portion as Nero won't allow you to just load a cue sheet image for the audio session in this case. As I'm currently a PC only studio here to date I had been just using Nero 7 to burn Enhanced CD's using its "CD Extra" option which allowed you to create both the audio session and data session of the discs in a single layout.
